CR Flamengo and inDrive announce partnership

CR Flamengo and inDrive have announced an exciting new partnership to sponsor the club’s men’s and women’s teams, in a deal brokered by global sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE.

The partnership will see inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform headquartered in California, USA, become an official sponsor of Flamengo’s men’s, women’s and youth teams in the club’s Mobility category.

As the world’s second most downloaded mobility app, inDrive has operated in Brazil since 2018 and has since expanded to operate in more than 180 cities across the country - providing users with mobility services such as rides, deliveries and freight.

inDrive’s new partnership will see them team up with Brazil’s most followed football club on a number of on- and off-field activities.

inDrive branding will feature on the iconic black and red Flamengo kits for the women’s team, press conference branding for the men’s team, as well as a number of digital advertising activations on the club’s official YouTube channel, FlaTV.

Flamengo’s position as the most followed football club in Brazil, combined with inDrive’s rapid expansion in the mobility services sector provides an exciting backdrop for a partnership that has the power to have a positive impact on the club, the business and the community.”

Christian Koller - Vice President Global Athlete & Team Marketing, SPORTFIVE

Flamengo’s partnership with inDrive is the club’s latest collaboration with global sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE, having worked together since 2022.

This work has most notably seen the pair partner to help Flamengo grow their international presence - including in key services such as digital audience development, commercial sales and live events.

SPORTFIVE’s on-going partnership with Flamengo is part of the agency’s growing portfolio of football work in North and South America, including a comprehensive digital services agreement with CONCACAF

Christian Koller, Vice President Global Athlete & Team Marketing, SPORTFIVE, said: “We are delighted to have once again worked alongside Flamengo to help deliver this exciting partnership. Flamengo’s position as the most followed football club in Brazil, combined with inDrive’s rapid expansion in the mobility services sector provides an exciting backdrop for a partnership that has the power to have a positive impact on the club, the business and the community.”

Gustavo Oliveira, Vice President of Communication and Marketing, CR Flamengo, said: “This is another strategic partnership for Flamengo, this time with a company that is growing very quickly, within a service market that is important to the community. We believe that the app will be widely adopted by the entire Red-Black Nation.”

Stefano Mazzaferro, Country Manager - Brazil, inDrive, said: "In inDrive's business model, passengers and drivers establish ride prices together, ensuring a fair value for both parties. By partnering with Flamengo, a club committed to building a fairer and more inclusive society through its social actions, we reinforce our commitment to the development of the communities where we operate in Brazil."
