About the Davis Cup

The Davis Cup is the World Cup of tennis. It is the largest annual international team competition in world sport and was founded in 1900 by Dwight Davis. The 2023 Davis Cup Finals Group Stages will take place from 12-17 September.

For the first time since 1994, Manchester will be hosting the Davis Cup, as all Group B matches will be played at the AO Arena.

Great Britain's Winning History

Great Britain are the only nation to have competed in every edition of the tournament. Only the United States and Australia have won more Davis Cups’ than Great Britain’s 10 triumphs, most recently in 2015.

With star players such as Cameron Norrie, Daniel Evans and Andy Murray expected to feature, Great Britain will be backing their chances to clinch an 11th title, starting with strong group-stage performances on home soil, in Manchester.

MANCHESTER HOSTS 'GROUP B'

For the first time in almost 30 years, the Davis Cup is coming back to Manchester!

Taking place from September 12-17 at the AO Arena, Manchester will be hosting some of the biggest tennis nations in Davis Cup history as ‘Group B’ takes the city by storm.

With 49 Davis Cup wins between them, the teams from Australia, France, United Kingdom and Switzerland will be battling it out to add their names to the famous trophy.
