Flagship of the entire region

With more than 100,000 members, VfB Stuttgart is by far the largest sports club in Baden-Württemberg. But it’s much more than that. Over the course of its long, eventful history, the club has evolved into a significant, easily identified sporting flagship and a core component of day-to-day life for many people in the region.

VfB Stuttgart is defined by its “Jungen Wilden”, professional footballers, amateur players, fans, partners and employees. Always in white and red, supporting the club with their heart and soul – and sometimes even in dunkelrot, the club’s magazine. VfB Stuttgart is shaped by a Swabian attitude towards innovation; it believes in performance, progress and competition. The club’s partners are part of an exciting journey towards the future, while benefiting from traditional values.

The club and your brand – guaranteed to be in good company

As a VIP at VfB Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart is passionate about making every home game a unique experience for you and your guests. In spring 2024, the MHP Arena was converted into one of Europe’s most cutting-edge stadiums – making it one of the continent’s most modern VIP areas, too. A core part of this: the Porsche Tunnel Club, which raises the bar in innovative fashion with the new main stand. The business area, in particular, offers a winning combination of exclusivity and uniqueness.

From Bad Cannstatt to the Champions League

The UEFA Champions League offers (potential) partners and sponsors a unique platform at a global level. With VfB Stuttgart’s international presence in this competition, its worldwide brand awareness has skyrocketed. This gives companies the opportunity to showcase their products and services to an audience of millions, beyond national boundaries. These partnerships don’t just open up new opportunities on the German market: they also make it possible to tap into new, international target groups and expand existing markets.

Make use of the global renown of the Champions League and VfB Stuttgart to position your brand on an international stage!

The business platform for Baden-Württemberg

With 800 companies in its business network, VfB opens doors for future business partnerships. 25% of VfB fans are decision-makers or co-decision-makers at their companies. Joint training modules for companies at the VfB Academy round out the networking opportunities.

At VfB Stuttgart, company representatives and potential business partners cross paths in an emotion-laden atmosphere. Global conglomerates, decision-makers and SMEs can meet outside meeting and conference rooms, interact and forge new partnerships.

A B2B network across the whole of Germany

Be it Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich or Dortmund and Düsseldorf: VfB Stuttgart’s B2B network spans the entirety of Germany and offers lots of potential for your company. VfB’s marketing partner SPORTFIVE has 7,000 active B2B customers, while VfB can access more than 500,000 companies in Baden-Württemberg.

White & red business events

The Cannstatter Wasen with Stuttgarter Hofbräu, the cinema event in the Traumpalast or the Marhördt golf cup are just a few examples of the regular B2B events not on match days that take place in various different locations. Partners can be integrated.

VFB STUTTGART

Emotion. Region. Tradition.

Societally, environmentally, traditionally or socially: this is the diverse array of ways that VfB Stuttgart presents itself as an attractive partner.

VfB’s current coat of arms was first used from 1949 to 1994, from winning the German championship in 1950 to participating in the Champions League in 1992/93. The VfB lettering is on top of it, created by art collector and VfB player Hermann Stammler, and underneath, the club’s year of establishment, 1893. The three sets of stag antlers are derived from the Württemberg regional coat of arms and have been part of VfB’s coat of arms since the merger of FV Stuttgart and Kronen-Klub Cannstatt in 1912. The club’s colours have been white and red since the merger. The ring around the chest has been a striking feature of the club’s strip since 1925; there isn’t really anything like it anywhere else in European football. As a red ring around the chest of a white jersey, it embodies an external symbol of the unity and cohesion of the entire VfB family. It is the common denominator that keeps the team, the fans and the club together.

VfB stands for sustainably successful youth work. At present, over 100 players who spent three years or more training in the club’s youth team are active in Europe’s highest professional leagues, including athletes such as Antonio Rüdiger, Joshua Kimmich, Bernd Leno, Timo Werner, Sebastian Rudy, Serge Gnabry and Timo Baumgartl. With ten A junior championships and seven B junior championships, VfB Stuttgart is Germany’s record-holder.

VfB Stuttgart 1893 e.V. set up its women’s football department on 1 June 2021. This satisfied the long-held desire of many VfB members to offer women’s and girl’s football at the club. VfB Stuttgart 1893 e.V. collaborated with VfB Obertürkheim, one of the leading sports clubs for women’s and girls’ football in the region, to construct and expand the department. All the information on the cooperation club can be found here.

VfB took on the running of the games for the VfB Women I(now AG), II and U17 (e.V.) in the 2022/23 season. VfB Women II are currently playing in the regional league, while VfB Women U17 were promoted in the first season and are currently facing teams in the B junior upper league for Baden-Württemberg.

Nowadays, acting sustainably is part and parcel of our modern culture. VfB Stuttgart aligns its sustainable activities with the three dimensions of sustainability: economic, environmental and social. In so doing, it follows the United Nations’ global sustainability goals.

In the long term, VfB Stuttgart is aiming to develop into one of the most responsible football clubs in Germany. Improving its greenhouse gas balance, across all three scopes, is a core area of focus, as the emissions generated have a very negative impact on the environment. It calculates its carbon accounting annually at the start of each year.

Three FIFA pro gamers are on the current VfB squad in total: Erhan “Dr.Erhano” Kayman, Marcel “Marlut” Lutz and up-and-coming talent Lukas “Lukas_1004” Seiler appear as virtual boys from Cannstatt. A successful start with strong partners

The gamers in white and red started the VBL Club Championship with two wins over the pro gamers from Schalke 04 and Mainz 05. The FIFA pro gamers are supported by VfB’s partners fischer, who have been with the VfB esports team from the off, and Mercedes-Benz Bank. As part of the VBL, both partners appear digitally with in-game bands at the home games of VfB Stuttgart and various logos.

Die Stiftung unterstützt verschiedene lokale und regionale Initiativen, die das Gemeinwohl fördern und sich auf die Stärkung von Gemeinschaften konzentrieren

VfB’s Traditionself team consists of former players and legends from VfB Stuttgart. It makes a regular appearance at charity games, exhibition games and nostalgic football events. Its aim is to keep the club’s history alive while also supporting social and charitable projects.

Its activities include indoor tournaments, where it competes against other traditional teams. They include the “Cup der Öffentlichen”, at which the VfB legends are participating in Oldenburg and Frankfurt in January 2024. The Traditionself team is studded with legends such as Guido Buchwald and Cacau.

We have ambitious goals when it comes to marketing. In traditional sponsorship, with new digital products and content formats, and at the stadium as a platform for events, we need to tap into VfB’s potential even more to reinforce our financial foundation. With SPORTFIVE, we have found a partner with outstanding expertise that wants to successfully forge a new path with us. This is the perfect solution for all concerned.

ALEXANDER WEHRLE, CHAIRMAN OF VFB STUTTGART

Mercedes-Benz will be an integral member of the VfB family going forward, too. As a long-standing main sponsor and a good neighbour, it’s important to us that VfB is in a financially stable position for the future with new sponsors. That’s why we’re delighted to be working with our new partners MHP and Porsche going forward. In collaboration with VfB, we at Mercedes-Benz want to boost the club, and in turn, the Stuttgart region, via projects focusing on social affairs and youth work.

BRITTA SEEGER, MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF MANAGEMENT OF THE MERCEDES-BENZ GROUP AG

For us, this satisfies our long-held desire to supply the largest, most popular football club in Baden-Württemberg – with its base in the region’s capital – with Stuttgarter Hofbräu. We’ve been available in the stadium’s legendary bar for years, putting us close to VfB.

MARTIN ALBER, SPOKESPERSON OF THE MANAGEMENT OF STUTTGARTER HOFBRÄU BRAU AG & CO. KG

Collaborating with VfB expands our platform for communicating the importance of sustainability. This partnership brings us together via shared values such as commitment and environmental responsibility, which enables us to reach a broad audience.

CHRISTIAN HAMANN, CEO OF HEP SOLAR

We share a long tradition with VfB Stuttgart. Porsche wants to use its long-term commitment to get even more involved in the Stuttgart region, where we both have our roots.

LUTZ MESCHKE, DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD AT PORSCHE AG
