SPORTFIVE Helps Table Tennis World Champion Xu Xin Become Subway Brand Ambassador

Shanghai, July 31, 2024 – SPORTFIVE has facilitated the partnership between table tennis world champion Xu Xin and Subway, the globally renowned fast food brand. Xu Xin will lead Subway's ‘Freshness Series’, elevating the brand's new products to unprecedented levels of freshness!

As one of the world's leading restaurant chains, Subway is committed to meeting consumers' demand for healthy fast food. This summer, Subway has teamed up with Xu Xin to launch the new ‘Fresh’ series, coinciding with the opening of the Paris Olympic Games. As Subway's new brand ambassador, Xu Xin will bring a fresh perspective to the consumers.

In this collaboration, SPORTFIVE provides a comprehensive suite of integrated marketing services for Subway, including sports marketing consulting, resource matching and cooperation negotiation, brand creative activation, and project management. In the official commercial, Xu Xin showcases his ‘golden left hand’ skills, including his signature left-handed strokes and behind-the-back shots, highlighting his exceptional talent and strength. Off the court, Subway sandwiches have become his essential ‘freshness’ boost, helping him maintain peak performance.

In August 2022, SPORTFIVE also facilitated Guo Ailun, a member of the Chinese Men's Basketball Team, becoming the first Chinese brand spokesperson for Subway.

Born in 1990, Xu Xin started playing table tennis at the age of 5. He joined the Shanghai table tennis team at 13 and won the team, singles, and doubles titles at the World Junior Table Tennis Challenge at 14. At 16, Xu Xin joined the national team in February 2006 and has since won 20 world championships. Known as “Anaconda” for his wide range of motion and skillful spin, Xu Xin often dominates in mid- and long-distance rallies. Adam Bobrow of the ITTF coined the term “Xuperman” to describe Xu Xin's near-superhuman performances.
