Paradise Island Set to Welcome Top Amateur Golfers For White Sands Bahamas Men's Invitational
Seventy-two of the world’s top male amateurs will tee it up at the iconic Ocean Club Golf Course for the White Sands Bahamas Men’s Invitational next week, with the winner and runner-up receiving a spot in the PGA TOUR’s Puerto Rico Open in March or the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic in May. All participants will be awarded World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points.
Included within this elite field are 19 members of the WAGR Top 100 as well as eight of the top 10 players in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Rolex Rankings.
Notable participants include Miles Russell, who recently competed in the Junior Ryder Cup, and Filip Jakubcik, who won the 2025 European Amateur Championship in Sweden. Other top players are 2025 Southern Amateur Champion John Daly II, All-American Connor Williams, and U.S. Junior National Team member Kihei Akina.
Also teeing it up are three players from The Bahamas, Alexander Dupuch, Aidan Gorospe, and Kerrington Rolle, as well as four players from Puerto Rico, Kelvin Hernandez, Evan Pena, Jose Carlos Lopez-Lay, and Evan Pena, giving the Caribbean representation. In addition, three players hail from France, two of whom, Hugo Le Goff and Oscar Couilleau, are ranked within the WAGR Top 100. Other international participants among the WAGR Top 100 include: Gabriel Palacios of Guatemala (26), Sweden’s Daniel Svärd (45), and Taishi Moto of Japan (93).

The Tom Weiskopf-designed Ocean Club Golf Course will play as a par 72, playing to 7,159 yards. This 54-hole stroke play format begins Monday, December 15, with 36 holes, followed by the Final Round on Tuesday, December 16.
The week will also feature a beachside welcome reception, practice rounds, and an Am-Am competition, offering players a true taste of golf in paradise.
This past October, SPORTFIVE facilitated the Women’s NCAA Invitational, with the University of Miami emerging victorious at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island. The agency is responsible for managing next week’s White Sands Bahamas Invitational as well. SPORTFIVE, which also operates the Puerto Rico Open, ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic and other PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour events, will ensure this tournament mirrors the look and feel of a PGA TOUR event.
