Allianz France To Support Amateur Soccer Clubs

Paris, June 3, 2024 - Allianz France is committed to amateur sport in collaboration with act for sport and is offering a call for applications for amateur soccer clubs. The aim: to equip 50 amateur clubs across France, representing 1,200 licensees and 100 coaches in categories U9 to U13 for the 2024/25 season, while preserving equity between men's and women's teams. This initiative is in line with Allianz France's commitment to supporting the sporting ecosystem and encouraging the practice of sport, particularly for the very young. A commitment initiated by SPORTFIVE, an international sports marketing agency.

National call for applications to equip 50 amateur clubs

This week, Allianz France is launching a nationwide call for applications to equip 50 amateur soccer clubs for the 2024/25 season. From today until June 24, 2024, interested amateur soccer clubs can apply via the https://www.lagrandeequipe-allianz.fr/ website.

Allianz France will announce the 50 selected clubs on July 3, and will provide match kit (shirts, shorts, socks) for 2 U9 to U13 teams per club, i.e. 1,200 players. This call for applications is open to all clubs in urban and rural areas, including overseas territories, with mixed or women's teams. Allianz France will also equip the 100 coaches working in the selected clubs (jacket and pants).

By equipping 50 clubs, Allianz is demonstrating its commitment to local communities.

La Grande Equipe Allianz is committed to sport on all terrains

The partnership between Allianz and act for sport is built around 2 pillars: growing with pleasure and passing on with passion. Getting a taste for effort requires feeling good about your body. That's why Allianz France makes it a point of honor to offer quality equipment to clubs, young people and their volunteer coaches. By equipping 50 clubs, Allianz France is demonstrating its support for amateur sport throughout France, convinced of the benefits of sporting activities for physical and mental health, and the development of social ties.

Allianz France, a major player in health insurance, mobilized to develop sporting activities

Regular physical activity and sport are key public health issues. The fight against sedentary lifestyles begins at a very early age, with club sports. Starting sport at an early age is a guarantee of lifelong continuity. In fact, according to the recent Allianz France sport/health survey conducted by IFOP¹, 32% of French people have never stopped practicing since the 1st time they started. What's more, one in two French people took up a sporting activity for the first time as a child. And they recognize the benefits! According to French people who take part in physical activity or sport, the main benefits are linked to physical well-being (93%), mental well-being (77%) and the prevention of disease and ageing (67%).

Allianz France is a long-term partner to the world of sport, insuring more than 30 federations in France and over 7,500 amateur and professional clubs.

Christophe DEPONT, Director of Brand, Advertising, Social Networks and Partnerships at Allianz France, comments: “As a health insurer and a player in the field of prevention, Allianz France encourages physical activity and sport, particularly among the youngest members of the public, with the organization of MoveNowCamp initiatives, which enable young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods to take part in physical activity. Thanks to La Grande Equipe, Allianz France is strengthening this commitment by developing its support for amateur soccer clubs, particularly women's teams".

Guillaume SARFATI, co-founder and CEO of act for sport, comments: “act for sport is proud to support an advertiser that is such a benchmark in the world of sport, and soccer in particular. Their presence in amateur soccer shows their desire to be present on all terrains, from local to national and international. It also demonstrates their desire to support the men and women who bring this sport to life in every part of the country.

Benjamin DEBLICKER, SVP Sales SPORTFIVE France adds: “We're delighted to be supporting Allianz in its drive to give significant backing to amateur sport. By equipping 50 clubs, Allianz is demonstrating a real commitment to local communities. We look forward to seeing this partnership in action.
