SPORTFIVE brings more German Football into the U.S. via agreement with ESPN

Hamburg, June 11, 2024 – SPORTFIVE, one of the leading global sports marketing agencies, is excited to announce a groundbreaking deal between the German Football Association (DFB) and ESPN in the United States. This agreement, facilitated by SPORTFIVE, will see the two entities further expand the reach and influence of German football in the world of sports.

The multi-year agreement includes the telecast of three weekly matches from the German 3. Liga from the 2023/24 campaign through to the 2026/27 season. This will provide American fans with regular access to the action and talent showcased in Germany's third highest professional division.

In addition, the agreement will feature an average of at least five German Men’s U-21 National Team matches per year. This will allow fans in the US to witness both current and future stars of German football as they compete against top international opponents.

This agreement builds upon the long standing relationship between DFB and ESPN around the men’s DFB-Pokal as well as on the strong relationship between SPORTFIVE and ESPN in the US. SPORTFIVE has provided hundreds of hours of high-quality sports content to ESPN each year and this new deal further solidifies their successful collaboration.

This partnership will not only bring some of the best of German football to American audiences but also provide a platform for emerging talent to shine.
