Airwell becomes main partner of Stade Français Paris

Paris, January 3th 2023 – The Stade Français Paris and SPORTFIVE, the leading global sports marketing agency, are delighted to announce a partnership agreement with Airwell.

The French supplier and expert of climatic and thermal solutions becomes a Main Partner of the Stade Français Paris. A first match (Match Paris/Pau) officially launched the partnership by displaying Airwell on the right pocket of the jersey of the capital club on December 31st. This collaboration runs until the end of the 2024-25 season.

THE HUMAN FACTOR IS THE STRENGTH

The partnership between Airwell and Stade Français Paris is first and foremost a meeting between Laurent Roegel, CEO of the Airwell Group and Thomas Lombard, currently General Manager of the Stade Français Paris and former international rugby player. From that meeting, the two entrepreneurs learned about their common ambitions. Innovation, team spirit, dynamism and conviviality: the Airwell Group shares these values with the world of high-level sport. The partnership was signed on December 5 by Laurent Roegel and Thomas Lombard.

AN EXCLUSIVE VISIBILITY

This commitment with the club is based on an action plan to increase brand awareness throughout France with the implementation of promotional operations, events and a complete hospitality program. Thanks to this large-scale partnership, Airwell will display its logo on the right pocket of the jersey until the 2024-25 season. Airwell will also have strong visibility within the Jean Bouin Stadium, notably on the club's LED and fixed signage. The brand will also use the Stade Français Paris digital communication media to promote the partnership outside the stadium.

A NEW PARTNER ENGAGED

Airwell, a French player in thermal equipment committed to the energy transition, has chosen the Stade Français Paris for its first sports partnership in order to represent their common values, particularly on the ecological and environmental transition. Airwell and the Stade Français Paris will be accompanied by SPORTFIVE in the activation of this partnership as well as in the creation of synergies between the club and the brand communities. Indeed, it is the deep commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that brings them together. This long-term ambition corresponds to the two common pillars of Airwell and the Club: training and innovation. Through this partnership, the two entities wish to increase their commitment and share it with as many people as possible.

We are proud of this partnership with Airwell. It is always a pleasure to welcome a brand with which we share a common vision of the issues related to sustainable development and environmental protection.

Thomas Lombard, General Manager of the Stade Français Paris

As Laurent ROEGEL, CEO of the Airwell Group, explains“The best partnerships are often those that happen naturally. The meeting with Thomas and the exchange around the values and objectives of our two organizations was therefore an obvious choice. The human being above all, in a spirit of conquest and challenge, while integrating and privileging the social, societal and territorial environment in which we live. We are therefore very happy and proud to start this partnership and to build a new story.”

Thomas Lombard, General Manager of the Stade Français Paris adds“We are proud of this partnership with Airwell. It is always a pleasure to welcome a brand with which we share a common vision of the issues related to sustainable development and environmental protection. This partnership is perfectly in line with our CSR objectives, and will allow us to meet the challenges of tomorrow's world together”

We are very happy to have contributed to the rapprochement between the Stade Français Paris and Airwell and look forward to accompanying them in their joint activations. We are even more proud to accompany Airwell for its first steps in sports sponsoring.

  • About STADE FRANÇAIS PARIS

The club was born in May 1995 from the merger of the rugby sections of two Parisian omnisports clubs, the Stade Français and the CASG, both teams playing in the French Group B Championship. The Stade Français was founded in 1883 by students in the Latin Quarter, at the café "Le Procope". On March 20, 1892, the players of the Stade Français played against those of Racing in the first final of the French Championship, on the Bagatelle grounds. Refereed by Pierre de Coubertin, this first final, which was narrowly lost (4-3), preceded the club's first three titles (1893, 1894, 1895). With many international players in its ranks, the Stade Français won a total of eight national titles between 1893 and 1908, playing a major role in the introduction and diffusion of the sport. The CASG, founded in 1903 and winner of the Challenge de l'Essor in 1993, has had many international players in its ranks at almost all times. In May 1995, Bernard Laporte (French Champion with Bègles-Bordeaux in 1991), took over the reins of the professional group and built a group of experienced and revanchist players. The good results following his taking over correspond to the 1995-96 season. Today, the Stade Français Paris has fourteen French Championship titles and one European Championship title to its credit, making it the most successful French club after the Stade Toulousain.
