SPORTFIVE International prides itself on being the first sports agency to have acquired and to sublicense the media rights to the Olympic Games. Further to its agreement with the International Olympic Committee, the agency is marketing the media rights to the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 and the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio in 2016 in 40 European countries.

For the qualification cycle of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, SPORTFIVE International represents the international media rights for a significant number of European national football associations, and is widely recognised as the leading player in this market.
Following on from its successful partnership with UEFA for UEFA EURO 2008™, SPORTFIVE International was appointed by UEFA as its media rights sales agent for UEFA EURO 2012™ in 49 countries throughout Asia and Oceania. The agreement includes the media rights to the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship™ and the UEFA Women’s EURO 2013™ in the same countries.
Partnerships with more than 100 European clubs, including media rights to selected UEFA club competition matches (UEFA Champions League™ and UEFA Europa League™ qualification matches), as well as some domestic leagues and cups, further strengthen SPORTFIVE International’s presence across the global football spectrum.
A selection of other world-class properties, including the French Open Tennis Championships, FIBA World and Asian Basketball Championships and heavyweight boxing involving the Klitschko brothers, keeps SPORTFIVE International’s portfolio of media rights active across a range of sports, and the agency is constantly looking for new opportunities to expand its media business.
DIGITAL MEDIA
As the world of media continues to evolve, SPORTFIVE International recognises the importance of providing up to date digital media support as an integral part of the agency’s media services. Working closely with the production team, the digital media department produces and distributes live streaming and highlights clips primarily to betting websites, as well as to TV channels, news outlets and football club websites across the world.
Constantly looking towards the future and, in particular, to the opportunities which social media (Facebook, Twitter, amongst others) and new technology applications such as Apps may present, SPORTFIVE International continues to develop its digital media offering.
MULTI-PLATFORM DIGITAL STREAMING
In 2012, the agency launched Qualifiers 2014™ - a multi-platform experience dedicated to live digital streaming of national football matches. The online streaming shows the FIFA World Cup 2014 European Qualification matches for those games for which SPORTFIVE is distributing the media rights (match availability in each country subject to SPORTFIVE’s agreements with its broadcast partners).
Qualifiers 2014™ has been created to maximise exposure and audiences across the world, with live streaming and highlights available on mobile applications for iOS and Android, the internet and Smart TV.
The development of such digital platforms creates additional opportunities for brands to partner with premium sports events, enabling sponsors to get closer to fans across a selection of media platforms. The subsequent increased public awareness of the brand association transforms SPORTFIVE International’s marketing packages from pure marketing visibility into a multi-platform and fan-engaging experience, significantly enhancing the value of the product.
